Newcastle United take on Wolverhampton Wanderers at St. James’ Park on Saturday in the league.

The Magpies are fresh off beating Queens Park Rangers 6-0 on Tuesday, while the Midlands side were beaten 4-0 by Barnsley.

United are in good form and will want to produce another dominant performance, although they must be careful not to get overconfident.

Toon manager Rafa Benitez will want to ram that point home to his players, who haven’t conceded a goal in five games.

Taking to Reddit, Newcastle fans have previewed the upcoming clash – which could be a banana skin for Tyneside outfit.

Selection is always a hot topic with Benitez’s teams – and with Aleksandar Mitrovic scoring on Tuesday he will have a lot to think about.

“(Dwight) Gayle should be starting,” succinctly summed up Velaryon – while BertrandSnos feels that Mitrovic may get the nod.

“I expect that we will start a different striker in both games against Wolves this week,” he commented. “But was going for Mitrovic on the basis that he has a good partnership with Perez.”

Several key players have started to emerge over the past few weeks – and they will be due a rest at some point, especially with another game scheduled for Tuesday.

“(Matt) Ritchie and (Jonjo) Shelvey are surely due a rest soon? Will it be this game or the 2nd leg?,” pondered beatski.

There is a lot of trust in the management team this campaign – a stark contrast to the shambles of 12 months ago.

Benitez is arguably the best manager in the whole division, and that alone will let United reap benefits.

“I just can’t see us losing this. Great form, Shelvey is playing outstanding we have a Rafa and they don’t,” explained spoonsforeggs. “They’re out of form too, easy win.”
