Tottenham secure another win over Stoke City.

Hueng-Min Son, you’ve all heard of him right? The 24-year-old South Korean who arrived last summer to join Tottenham just had his best game in a Spurs shirt today against Stoke City.

Tottenham started out the game very sloppy and it was clear that this was their first game back from international break.

On the flip side, Stoke came out firing on all cylinders.

They looked a lot more sharp and energetic for the first half-an-hour or so. Then it all changed.

Christian Eriksen found Son who side-footed it from six yards out to get Tottenham on the board just before half-time in the 41st minute.

From there, the second half was all Tottenham. Spurs were on the break when Christian Eriksen found Hueng-Min Son at the edge of the box who hit a one-time shot into the top right corner to double Tottenham’s lead.

No ‘keeper would have been able to save that.

After Son’s second goal, the flood gates were wide open.

Kyle Walker found Dele Alli inside the box and slotted it past Shay Given. Two goals in three minutes and the game was all but done at this point.

But the scoring didn’t stop just yet. Son crossed the ball in with a lot of pace and it fell right in front of Harry Kane who tapped it in from a couple of yards out.

Just like that, the game which looked so even in the first half, ended in a drubbing by Tottenham.

There are a few things to take away from this game.

First, Hueng-Min Son is clearly one of Spurs’ most talented players. His decision-making and creativity is needed in the team week in and week out and he showed that today.

Second, Harry Kane got exactly what he needed.

Seeing a ball hit the back of the net for him will help in a huge way. He has always been a slow starter, so this could be the play that elevates his game.

Lastly, Christian Eriksen has gotten called out due to his poor performances, but looked a lot better today.

He ended the day with two assists and looked lively throughout. Now that he finally got his new contract, he really has no excuses to not play well.

Christian Eriksen on his best days is one of the best players in the Premier League.

All in all, Tottenham fans should be delighted with this performance, scoring four goals and keeping a clean sheet is something to be proud of. Come on you Spurs!
