Tottenham winger Chadli out for six weeks with ankle injury

Nacer Chadli is expected to be out for six weeks after scans revealed he damaged ankle ligaments at the weekend.

The Tottenham winger was stretchered off during Saturday's goalless draw with Liverpool after he was involved in an eighth-minute collision.

And a club statement on Tuesday revealed the diagnosis and a recovery time of "around six weeks".

That timescale would likely rule Chadli out of seven games, including three in Europe and London derbies against Arsenal and West Ham.

And it would also make the Belgian touch-and-go for Chelsea's visit to White Hart Lane on November 29.

Chadli, who has featured 11 times for Spurs this season, joins Heung-Min Son, Nabil Bentaleb, Ryan Mason, Tom Carroll and Alex Pritchard on the injured list.
