Tottenham won't sell Harry Kane to Serie A giants

Tottenham will laugh at AC Milan’s planned bid for Harry Kane

Tottenham fans can file today’s rumor about an AC Milan bid of 42 million or so pounds for Harry Kane in the nearest garbage bin. It’ll fit nicely there right next to reports that the club are in negotiations to bring Emmanuel Adebayor back to White Hart Lane.

Reports from Italy claim the Serie A giants have their heart set on prying Kane away from Tottenham this January. I’ve got news for the higher-ups at Milan, if they want to tempt Daniel Levy to sell Kane, 40 million pounds isn’t close to the required fee.

I’m not even sure that AC Milan would be a serious bidder for Kane if they doubled that sum. He’s such an integral part of what manager Mauricio Pochettino is building at Spurs that he’s almost untouchable from a transfer perspective. Every player has his price, but Kane’s is massive.

If the English talisman does eventually leave Spurs, it will likely be to one of the world’s true super-clubs. He might be tempted to follow Gareth Bale or Luka Modric’s lead to Real Madrid in the future, but Milan isn’t in that same stratosphere. They have a lovely tradition, but their current product on the pitch leaves a lot to be desired.

It’s also quite possible that Kane wouldn’t be interested in a move to Italy. He’s clearly happy with life in London and doesn’t seem the type to crave a move away for global stardom. He’s a Tottenham lad through and through which greatly reduces the chance of any club to pry him away from Spurs.

Tottenham fans can feel free to totally disregard this silly rumor. It’s going to take a much bigger club, offering a much bigger transfer fee to cause Spurs to even think of selling Harry Kane.
