Watch Alex Iwobi pull off a flawless rainbow flick in World Cup qualifying
Nigeria are enjoying a nice start to third round of World Cup qualifying in Africa, winning their first two matches in the early going of Group B. Saturday they collected an impressive 3-1 win against Algeria, but the best highlight of the match wasn't one of their three goals. Instead, it was a beautiful piece of skill from Arsenal youngster Alex Iwobi.
The 20-year-old forward rolled up that rainbow flick so casually he might be able to do it with his eyes closed. To be fair, the whistle had blown for a foul prior to him embarrassing the defender, but still. Saphir Taïder had no chance. It truth, that Iwobi would be so brash shouldn't be that much of a surprise. It's in his blood, after all.
His uncle, Jay Jay Okocha, is one of the best Nigerian players of all time and he routinely embarrassed defenders. If Iwobi intends to carry on his uncle's legacy, he is doing an admirable job.
