Watch Andrey Arshavin shave a blogger's head after winning a bet
Andrey Arshavin hasn't snagged many international headlines since he left Arsenal in 2013, but the Russian striker popped back up on the map after he happily butchered the hair of a blogger that trolled him. Arshavin bounced around Russia at Zenit and Krasnodar before landing at Kazakhstan outfit Kairat this summer. His (relative) high-profile arrival didn't sit well with everyone, though.
Blogger Peter Volikova wasn't entirely sold on the move, and went as far as to say he'd shave his head if Arshavin managed to score more than seven goals with Kairat, according to the Mirror. Well, Arshavin notched his eighth goal recently, and Volikova had to pay up:
Just look at how happy Arshavin is. It has to be so cathartic to be able to humiliate someone that doubted you so vehemently. Having "Eye of the Tiger" blasting in the background is just a cherry on top.
Volikova definitely doesn't seem too jazzed to be getting his hair carved up, especially in front of so many people, but he's a good sport. And to Arshavin's credit, he eventually gives Volikova a somewhat even buzz-cut all the way around. At least he didn't leave him with the Friar Tuck or a tic-tac-toe.
Let it be a lesson: Don't go making wagers unless you're willing to pay up in full.
