Alan Ruschel, one of the six survivor of the tragic plane crash that claimed the lives of 76 passengers, was seen walking and talking in a new video from the San Vincente Foundation Hospital in Rionegro, Colombia.

Ruschel played left-back for Chapecoense and gives a thumbs up and thanked his friends, family and fans for their support in his recovery.

“This is Alan Ruschel speaking,” Ruschel said. “I would like to tell you that I am recovering really well and that soon, I will be back in Brazil to continue my recovery there too. “Thank you for the strength you have given me through your prayers, for the warmth and kindness I have received. I just wanted to thank everyone. Thank you!”

Goalkeeper Jackson Follmann and defender Neto remain in intensive care. Follman had his right leg amputated due to infection.

The plane crashed just outside of Medellin as the team was headed to the Copa Sudamericana final against Atletico Nacional but the plane reportedly ran out of fuel. Conmebol has posthumously awarded the championship title to the team as an homage to the victims.
