Watch Christian Pulisic score in stoppage time to rescue Borussia Dortmund
Christian Pulisic started the day on the bench for Borussia Dortmund, but the American found himself in the spotlight at the end of Dortmund's match on Saturday. With his side down two goals to relegation-candidates Ingolstadt, Thomas Tuchel and BVB needed a spark.
Tuchel called upon Pulisic at the break, and the American came on to make a quick impact. Dortmund scored in the 59th, but Ingolstadt immediately responded to restore their cushioned lead. Ten minutes later, Pulisic found himself involved on the edge of the Ingolstadt box and picked up an assist on Adrian Ramos' goal.
As time melted off the clock it looked as though Ingolstadt would be on their way to an important win. But the 18-year-old Pulisic popped up at just the right moment to do this:
Not every goal is going to be a Puskas Award candidate, but a stoppage-time leveler is nothing to sneeze at. Pulisic even got leveled by teammate Felix Passlack for his trouble. It's not the result BVB were hoping for going into the match, but Dortmund will take the point.
