Watch Gareth Bale's perfect volley to record Real Madrid's fastest-ever UCL goal

Usually, it takes teams a little bit of time to settle into games on the road. Real Madrid traveled to Warsaw to take on Legia on Wednesday, but there were no sluggish legs for Gareth Bale, and he pulled off this incredible volley just seconds into the match.

Opta recorded the time at 57 seconds, good for the second-fastest goal of this Champions League season. That quick strike is also Real Madrid's fastest-ever goal scored in the Champions League.

Cristiano Ronaldo flicked on Fabio Coentrao's early cross, and Bale didn't even think about taking a touch, lashing a perfect volley into the upper corner to make it 1-0 before many supporters even took a sip of their first beer.

It gets better every time you see it. He catches it perfectly, coming across his body, with sublime technique, and it just soars straight into the top corner. Nothing the keeper could do about it. Not too bad, Gareth. Not too bad.
