Watch Giovani dos Santos and Brad Davis trade wondrous goals
Between Didier Drogba, David Villa, Maxim Tissot, Simon Dawkins, Diego Valeri and Sacha Kljestan, Major League Soccer's Goal of the Week committee has its hands full.
Add Brad Davis and Giovani dos Santos to the pile and you've got an even bigger selection issue to consider.
The two traded a pair of delectable goals on Sunday as Sporting Kansas City and the LA Galaxy waged a 1-1 draw in their Western Conference showdown. Davis, still fresh off his move to the Heartland after spending the last 10 seasons with the Houston Dynamo, struck again with his second goal for the club and boy was it special.
Ah, that precious left foot of his. It never gets old. It's what we've all come to know about Davis throughout his long tenure in MLS, and, on a given matchday, one of the foremost talking points on the opposition's scouting report. It appears Jelle Van Damme didn't quite get the memo, though.
Fortunately for LA, the lead didn't last long.
With three goals in his last two games coming in, dos Santos made it four in three to ensure Bruce Arena's side earned a share of the spoils and stretched their unbeaten run to six matches. The Mexico international, who was named to El Tri's 40-man provisional Copa America Centenario roster, finished off a sumptuous counter attack with this peach of a finish.
Are you watching, Juan Carlos Osorio?
