Watch Jesse Lingard run through the whole Leicester defense to score an amazing goal
With 31 minutes gone in the Community Shield, Jesse Lingard picked the ball up at the edge of the center circle. He surveyed the field, saw his teammates, analyzed the Leicester defense and then boldly said, "screw all y'all."
That's six defenders gone by the wayside, plus the goalkeeper to make it seven. For those of you who don't math, that's more than two-thirds of the Leicester team and, if your memory is failing you, that's defending Premier League champions Leicester.
Sure, the Community Shield is just a glorified friendly, you might say. It didn't really matter. And the teams are still in preseason. None of those statements are technically false, but consider this: THAT WAS AWESOME.
So sit back and watch the goal again. Watch it two, three, four or five more times because it's so good that it deserves that.
