Watch the German national team get in on the mannequin challenge act

The Mannequin Challenge has made its way fully around each dark corner of the internet, and pretty much every assembled personage of more than three people has put out their own version of the video.

The German national team is the latest group to get in on the act, and their attempt might just be the weirdest one yet.

To start, the music is all wrong. Whereas the vast majority of Mannequin Challenge videos use Rae Sremmurd's "Black Beatles" as the soundtrack, Die Mannschaft went with...the background track for a self-help seminar? The soundtrack to an 80's adult film? A rejected theme song for Friends?

The video starts off pretty normally. We see a casual toast between teammates, with drinks raised in celebration. It's all very calm, minus Mario Gotze's wildly gleeful expression. Jogi Low makes an appearance, but, unrealistically, he's not picking his nose.

As we pan to another table though, Arsenal defender Shkodran Mustafi and Bayern center-back Mats Hummels seem to have gotten into a major disagreement; they're choking each other while Miroslav Klose chills unconcernedly, blinking his way through the whole thing. Thomas Muller? He's hiding behind a napkin. Mario Gomez appears unamused, but there are no goals to be scored, so this checks out.

Everything else is par for the course. Just a normal dinner with the German national team. With two of their center-backs choking each other out. Seems legit, right?
