Watch the outrageous long-range goal that helped put the U.S. in the U-20 World Cup

With a berth in both the 2017 FIFA U-20 World Cup and CONCACAF U-20 Championship final on the line, the United States had a lot to play for on Friday. They needed only a draw against El Salvador, but they wound up with a 2-1 victory to punch their tickets.

The game-winning goal was an absolute doozy. Already up 1-0 in the first half, Eryk Williamson hit this long-distance gem to double the lead for the U-20 USMNT.

That's just sheer power from the youngster. You're not supposed to hit once-in-a-lifetime goals when you're just 19 years old, but the midfielder didn't get the memo. El Salvador clawed back to cut the lead in half, but Williamson's heat-seeker proved to be the difference.

With the win, the U.S. booked their place in the U-20 World Cup in South Korea. But before they gear up for that, they'll take on Honduras in the final to battle for CONCACAF supremacy. They'll be hard-pressed to score a goal better than Williamson's.
