Watch this filthy elastico-nutmeg from Real Madrid's James Rodriguez
James Rodriguez hasn't featured for Real Madrid in three weeks due to injury, but his recovery seems to be going pretty darn well.
The Colombian star is back to doing work in training — and by "doing work" we mean "humiliating defenders." Exhibit A:
Your eyes did not deceive you. Rodriguez pulled off a filthy elastico-nutmeg combo like it was nothing and then fired a perfect shot from a crazy angle that is much tougher than he made it look. So casual.
To be fair, Rodriguez was in a training session with a lot of bubble players rather than first-team starters. But that bit of skill was a delightful flash of magic from the Colombian. The only thing that beats an elastico or a nutmeg is the rare elastico-nutmeg.
It looks like Rodriguez might be back to action for Real Madrid soon. There's been some lingering questions about Rodriguez's place at Los Merengues and even when healthy his playing time has been limited. But if he continues to show form like that elastico-nutmeg displayed, manager Zinedine Zidane may be looking for a spot for the 25-year-old.
