Watch Wes Morgan become the first Jamaican player to score in the Champions League
After last season's miracle run to the Premier League title, it's been a largely forgettable season for Leicester City. That could all change if they continue their push in the Champions League, though.
Defending their Premier League crown is already a dead dream, but their European quest remains attainable. Wes Morgan's first-half goal against Sevilla could help ensure they make the improbable push to the Champions League quarterfinals.
Three familiar faces from last year's EPL run all contributed to the goal. Jamie Vardy worked hard to earn the free kick, which Riyad Mahrez stepped over to take. With a brilliant delivery that curled into a dangerous area, Morgan bundled the ball over to give Leicester a 1-0 lead. Was it the world's prettiest goal? Absolutely not.
It counted just the same, though. The goal also made history, with the 33-year-old defender becoming the first Jamaican player to score in the Champions League. Could it be the goal to send Leicester through? We'll have to wait and see on that front.
