Alexis Davis will train wrestling at Team Alpha Male ahead of Ronda Rousey fight
Top ranked women's bantamweight contender Alexis Davis is pulling out all the stops to prepare for her fight against champion Ronda Rousey ahead of UFC 175, and it includes a stop at one of the top gyms in the country.
For the first time ever, Davis will add to her wrestling game by training with Sacramento based Team Alpha Male as she gets ready for her championship bout in July.
Davis already holds a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, but upping her wrestling game by working with fighters such as Chad Mendes, Urijah Faber, Joseph Benavidez as well as former NCAA All-American Lance Palmer can only help in her quest to leave UFC 175 with the title.
The Canadian fighter happens to share the same management team as many of the competitors at Team Alpha Male including team founder Urijah Faber, helping to pave her way to training with the squad as she gets ready to face Rousey.
In addition to the work she's doing at Team Alpha Male, Davis will continue her regular MMA training at the CSA gym also in California.
Davis faces Rousey in the co-main event of UFC 175 in Las Vegas on July 5.
