Andrew Craig vs. Chris Camozzi fight scratched from UFC Abu Dhabi

Published Apr. 10, 2014 8:39 a.m. ET

Just over 24 hours from UFC Fight Night Abu Dhabi, the show has lost one of its bouts as the middleweight scrap between Chris Camozzi and Andrew Craig was cancelled just prior to weigh-ins.

According to the UFC, the match had to be wiped from the show after Craig fell ill. Both fighters will be paid their regular fight purses and the show will now go on with eight bouts.

Both fighters had been looking to rebound off disappointing results.

In his last match, Craig (9-2) had fallen to Luke Barnatt via rear naked choke in October, while Camozzi (19-7) had lost his last two, most recently dropping a unanimous decision to Lorenz Larkin.

The UFC did not immediately say whether the matchup between the two would be rescheduled at a future date.
