Ben Rothwell pulled from UFC Fight Night card in Dublin

Published Oct. 14, 2015 3:54 p.m. ET

Following an injury to Stipe Miocic, the UFC has also pulled his opponent Ben Rothwell from the upcoming UFC Fight Night card in Dublin, Ireland.

According to UFC officials a “suitable” replacement couldn't be found on such short notice with the fight just over a week away on Oct. 24.

Rothwell was willing to stay on the card and fight someone else, but with time winding down the UFC opted to move forward without the heavyweight on the show.

Rothwell will now be booked into a different fight once an option opens up for the No. 7-ranked heavyweight in the UFC.

With Miocic vs. Rothwell now cancelled, the UFC is moving forward with Norman Parke versus Reza Madadi as the new co-main event for the evening.

The card now features 11 total bouts with the entire show airing live on UFC Fight Pass, including the main event pitting Dustin Poirier against Joe Duffy in a five-round lightweight battle.
