Dos Santos (18-4) is coming into this fight with Struve coming off a win over Ben Rothwell at UFC Fight Night 86 back in April. The eight-year veteran of the UFC is looking to make another run for UFC heavyweight gold. The former champ recently beat the current heavyweight champion Stipe Miocic, before losing to Alistair Overeem in a title contention bout. With a win over Struve, he could be putting himself right back in contention talks.
Struve (28-8) is also coming into this bout following up a win. His most recent win came over Daniel Omielańczuk at UFC 204 in October. He won that fight via a second round submission for his second straight win of the year. Struve is looking to avenge his first loss in the UFC with this rematch against Dos Santos.
Tickets for this event go on sale to the public this Friday. The complete card to date includes Elias Theodorou vs. Cezar Ferreira, Thiago Santos vs Jack Marshman, Nordine Taleb vs. Santiago Ponzinibbio, Aiemann Zahabi vs. Reginaldo Vieira and Alessandro Ricci vs. Alvaro Herrera.
