Nate Diaz mocks Conor McGregor's prediction for their rematch at UFC 202

Nate Diaz heard Conor McGregor's prediction that he would win their rematch at UFC 202 with a second-round knockout.

Of course, Diaz also remembers McGregor's bold proclamation ahead of their first fight where he said that he would finish the Stockton, Calif. native inside five minutes. Instead, Diaz put McGregor away in the second round with a rear-naked choke submission.

So it doesn’t bother Diaz that McGregor is running his mouth again ahead of the rematch because he believes it's the only way the Irishman can find the confidence to come back from such a devastating loss the last time they fought.

"That's what he said last time," Diaz said about McGregor's prediction at the UFC 202 pre-fight press conference.  "I think he's got a lot of people around him and he's trying to pump himself up. He's either lying to himself or to go on about his confidence or to make himself believe it but he remembers what happened the last fight.

"I think it's a little silly."

Diaz also brought up McGregor's makeshift gym in Las Vegas where the featherweight champion decorated the walls with several photos blown up poster size to hang on the walls.

The pictures McGregor selected where the moments from the fight where he was tagging Diaz with punches, and his upcoming opponent at UFC 202 can't help but to find the whole thing rather strange.

"He's got pictures of me up in his garage of him punching me in the face. What the (expletive)? Who does that?" Diaz stated. "Trying to make yourself believe something. I think he's trying to hype his own self up.

Diaz is actually sitting at even money with McGregor according to the odds makers ahead of UFC 202, but as the fight draws nearer, he might just end up the favorite before stepping into the Octagon for their rematch Saturday night.
