T.J. Dillashaw vs. John Lineker official for UFC 207 in Las Vegas
A huge title eliminator fight at 135 pounds is headed for UFC 207 as former champion T.J. Dillashaw faces off with John Lineker on Dec. 30 in Las Vegas.
The new bout was officially announced via "UFC Tonight" on Wednesday.
Dillashaw was undoubtedly disappointed that he didn't earn a rematch with current bantamweight king Dominick Cruz, but he's obviously moving on with another incredibly tough matchup instead.
Dillashaw most recently dispatched Raphael Assuncao in a lopsided decision at UFC 200 to bounce back from his razor close split decision loss to Cruz in January.
As for Lineker, the heavy-handed Brazilian has been undefeated since moving back to the bantamweight division in the UFC.
Lineker just defeated John Dodson by split decision in early October after he finished former title contender Michael McDonald with a vicious first round knockout in July.
Dillashaw vs. Lineker joins a stacked UFC 207 card that also includes Cruz defending his belt against Cody Garbrandt as well as Ronda Rousey's return as she faces women's bantamweight champion Amanda Nunes.
