Tony Ferguson vs. Rafael dos Anjos full fight video highlights
After their main event war at UFC Mexico Saturday, check out the highlights from Tony Ferguson vs. Rafael dos Anjos.
In our epic main event between two of the baddest lightweights on the planet in Saturday night’s Ultimate Fighter Latin America Season 3 Finale (TUF Latin America 3 Finale), former 155-pound champ and current No. 2-ranked Rafael dos Anjos went toe-to-toe with No. 3-ranked Tony ‘El Cucuy’ Ferguson.
Dos Anjos came off of a devastating first round knockout loss to the now-current champ Eddie Alvarez in their main event title meeting at UFC Fight Night 90 this past July, in which ‘RDA’ dropped his 155-pound throne after just one successful title defense. Ferguson came off of an impressive second round submission win via his patented D’Arce choke, when he defeated Lando Vanatta, a late notice replacement for the injured Khabib Nurmagomedov, in their July meeting as well.
Ferguson entered the contest with the intention of immediately taking the center of the Octagon, utilizing his superior reach advantage very well. ‘El Cucuy’ was able to negate dos Anjos’ takedown attempts, and pick apart the former champ on the feet throughout the majority of the contest. The former Kings MMA product landed a few hard shots to his own right throughout the bout’s duration, but Ferguson seemed to eat them with ease and proceed to walk the Brazilian down.
The contest would go all five rounds as the two combatants seemed to be able to withstand the grueling Mexico City altitude, where Ferguson would secure the biggest win of his mixed martial arts (MMA) career by defeating ‘RDA’ as the judges all turned in score cards of 48-47.

Pending the result of the upcoming Eddie Alvarez vs. Conor McGregor lightweight title bout at Madison Square Garden this upcoming Saturday (November 12, 2016), the chances of Ferguson earning the next shot at the 155-pound throne are very high.
