CHICAGO (AP) DePaul has extended coach Doug Bruno's contract through the 2023-24 season.

Bruno, a Chicago product who played for Hall of Famer Ray Meyer in the late 1960s and `70s, has won 668 games in 32 seasons over two stints coaching the Blue Demons. He also coached the Chicago Hustle of the Women's Professional Basketball League from 1978-80.

The Blue Demons have made 16 consecutive trips to the women's NCAA Tournament and gone 11 seasons in a row with 20 or more victories. DePaul has won five straight Big East regular-season championships and three of the past five conference tournaments.
