Jenkins leads South Florida past Harvard 86-59

TAMPA, Fla. (AP) Alisia Jenkins scored a career-high 27 points and pulled down 20 rebounds to propel No. 24 South Florida to an 86-59 win over Harvard on Thursday night.

Jenkins hit 9 of 13 from the field and went 9 of 10 from the line. Maria Jespersen scored a career-high 19 and Courtney Williams added 18 points to go with 12 rebounds for South Florida (4-2), which shot 44 percent from the field (31 of 71) and controlled the boards 55-30.

South Florida took its first lead of the game in the second quarter with back-to-back buckets from Williams that sparked a 17-6 run over the final nine minutes of the half and carried a 40-30 advantage into the break. Harvard was held to just eight points in the second quarter.

AnnMarie Healy led Harvard (4-3) with 13 points on 6-for-16 shooting.
