Moore, Durr lead Louisville women past Michigan State 85-78

EAST LANSING, Mich. (AP) Mariya Moore and Asia Durr scored 20 points apiece and Louisville took control early and held off No. 19 Michigan State 85-78 on Thursday night in the ACC/Big 10 Challenge.

Briahanna Jackson had 11 of her 13 points in the first half and Moore had 10 when the Cardinals (2-4) shot 61 percent, including 6 of 9 from 3-point range, to open a 45-32 lead.

Cortnee Walton and Myisha Hines-Allen had 12 points apiece for Louisville, which forced Michigan State into 27 turnovers.

The Spartans (4-2) shot 43 percent in the first half when they had 12 of their turnovers.

Aerial Powers had 21 points and Branndais Agee 17 for Michigan State, which trailed by 17 early in the second half. The Spartans made it a one-point game early in the fourth quarter but a 16-6 run pushed the lead back to 12 with 3:27 left.

The Spartans cut it to 80-77 with 36 seconds left but Moore made 3-of-4 free throws and Durr added two to close it out.
