No. 17 Duke women beat Villanova 68-50 (Dec 21, 2016)

DURHAM, N.C. (AP) Rebecca Greenwell and Lexie Brown scored 18 points each to help No. 17 Duke beat Villanova 68-50 on Wednesday night.

Kyra Lambert added 10 points for the Blue Devils (11-1), who took the lead for good at 8-7, early in a 15-0 run to close the first quarter up 19-7.

The Wildcats (4-6) closed to 28-22 late in the second quarter but trailed by double digits for most of the second half.

Greenwell had nine boards and Brown grabbed six. The pair was responsible for all of Duke's 3-point attempts - Greenwell made 2 of 4 and Brown hit both of her attempts - and the Blue Devils made 28 of 52 overall shots from the field.

Villanova took 41 of its 61 field-goal attempts from beyond the arc. The Wildcats hit 10 from distance and shot 19 of 61 overall.

Adrianna Hahn scored 18 and Alex Louin 11.
