No. 19 Florida State women rout Boston College, 75-42

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP) Leticia Romero hit back-to-back 3-pointers and Emiah Bingley added a third as No. 19 Florida State opened with an 11-0 run in a 75-42 rout of Boston College in the Seminoles' Atlantic Coast Conference home opener Thursday night.

Florida State (11-4, 1-1) built a 26-10 lead in the first quarter and extended it to 39-15 by intermission. The Seminoles shot 48.1 percent from the field (26 of 54), 9 of 19 from distance, and held a 35-30 advantage on the boards.

Romero shot 6 of 10 from the field, including 2 of 4 from beyond the arc, and finished with 14 points, seven rebounds, four assists and three steals. Shakayla Thomas added 14 points off the bench and Bingley added 10 points and six assists.

Mariella Fasoula scored 13 points to lead Boston College (11-2, 0-2) and Nicole Boudreau added another 11 points.
