No. 19 UCLA women raced to 109-76 win over Sacramento State

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) Nirra Fields scored 22 points, Monique Billings added 20 and No. 19 raced to a 109-76 win over Sacramento State on Friday night.

Jordin Canada added 16 points for the Bruins (7-2), who played the Hornets (2-6) for the first time. They play at No. 21 California on Monday to open Pac-12 play.

Fields and Billings combined to go 15 of 21 as the Bruins shot 63 percent despite going 3 of 12 from 3-point range. They led 53-41 at the break.

Kacy Swain had 10 points and 11 rebounds as UCLA outrebounded the Hornets 58-33 for a 72-36 advantage in points in the paint.

Maranne Johnson led Sacramento State with 20 points but she went 9 of 22 from the field. The Hornets shot 30 percent, 27 in the second half when they missed all 11 of their 3-point attempts. They finished 8 of 39 behind the arc.
