No. 21 South Florida women beat Chattanooga 61-33
TAMPA, Fla. (AP) Courtney Williams had 15 points and 11 rebounds, Alisia Jenkins set a school record for career rebounds and No. 21 South Florida beat Chattanooga 66-33 on Sunday.
Jenkins needed 10 rebounds to break Wanda Guyton's record of 1,077 career rebounds set in 1989 and grabbed 12.
Kitija Laksa added 12 points for South Florida (6-2) and Jenkins finished with eight points. The Bulls only made 33 percent of their field goals but held a 50-31 advantage on the boards and hit 14 of 15 free throws.
South Florida used a 12-2 run in the second quarter, with six points from Williams, to take a 29-15 lead. The Bulls led by double figures the rest of the way and held Chattanooga to five fourth-quarter points.
Jasmine Joyner led Chattanooga (5-4) with 12 points and Moses Johnson grabbed 11 rebounds. The Lady Mocs were 13-of-49 shooting (27 percent), including 2 of 11 from 3-point range.
