No. 25 Oklahoma State women rally past West Virginia 79-69 (Feb 24, 2018)

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (AP) Loryn Goodwin scored 12 of her 22 points in a midgame turnaround rally, Braxtin Miller matched a career-high 23 points and the 25th-ranked Oklahoma State women halted a three-game skid, defeating West Virginia 79-69 on Saturday.

Oklahoma State (19-9, 10-7 Big 12 Conference) trailed West Virginia by 12 as the first half was coming to a close, but ended on a 7-0 run to get within 37-32. Goodwin had five points, a steal and a defensive rebound in the rally.

Goodwin scored seven points in the third quarter when the Cowgirls outscored the defending Big 12 Tournament champions 24-11 and took control of the game. The Mountaineers (20-9, 8-9) came as close as 63-61 in the fourth quarter when Teana Muldrow scored nine straight points.

Miller splashed cold water on the Mountaineers, dropping in back-to-back 3-pointers and pushing the lead to 73-64. Kaylee Jensen added 17 points and 17 rebounds for Oklahoma State, her sixth double-double in seven games and 17th of the season. She has 1,000 career rebounds.

Muldrow led West Virginia with 23 points but she and Naomi Davenport, with 10 points, fouled out. Chania Ray scored 16 points and Katrina Pardee 14.

Oklahoma State had losses to No. 3 Baylor and No. 6 Texas in its three-game slide, but appears assured of a No. 4 seed to the Big 12 Tournament.
