Female WWE stars pay tribute to Chyna, 'a true pioneer'
Women's wrestling icon and former WWE star Joanie Laurer was found dead in her apartment at the age of 45 Wednesday. Chyna was a trailblazer for women in WWE, and redefined what it meant to be a female performer in pro wrestling. She was a two-time Intercontinental champion, and carried the belt typically reserved for top male worker in the business.
Chyna was revered by her colleagues in the ring as well as the young wrestlers she inspired, and both current and former female stars paid tribute to Chyna and her legacy following the news of her death.
Shattered glass ceilings, kicked down doors, broke gender barriers, she was an anomaly & untouchable. Rest now-ur legacy lives on #RIPChyna
