Finn Balor fulfilled his role of Special Enforcer in ICW, what went down with the former WWE Universal Champion?

Approximately two years after leaving the company, WWE Superstar Finn Balor made his return to ICW in Glasgow, Scotland tonight. Originally ICW Commissioner Mick Foley was meant to be in attendance, but due to his Survivor Series commitments, he couldn’t be in attendance. Instead, it was announced that Balor would return to his former ICW stomping ground as Foley’s Enforcer for the night.

Right at the start of the show, Mick Foley made a “Live via Satellite” appearance on the big screen. He introduced Balor, the man formerly known as Prince Devitt, who came to the ring to his old Real Rock N Rolla theme. Balor received a massive pop from the Glasgow crowd, in what was his first televised appearance in three months since suffering an injury whilst winning the WWE Universal Title.

In the ring, Balor spoke about how he’d left the company to join WWE, and had said “This is not goodbye, this is see you later. And THIS is later!”. The crowd gave him a massive “Welcome Home” chant. Many suspected he may be here just to take pictures with fans and sign autographs, that couldn’t have been farther from the truth.

During the eight-man match to determine who would gain 100% ownership of ICW, Drew Galloway had been left facing Chris Renfrew as the last two men. Galloway’s teammate Jack Jester took offense at how Galloway had taken to attacking 50% owner Mark Dallas instead of winning the match. Galloway told Jester to get out of the ring, so he did, which lead to Balor making his way to the ring in an ICW t-shirt.

Jester made his way back out, apparently to help Galloway against the now WWE man. But that all went wrong for Galloway. Jester handed Balor his weapon and Balor hit Galloway with it, then Renfrew hit a Stone Cold Stunner to get the win for Dallas’ team.

Whilst he may be still on the injured list, Balor was fit enough to make his presence known and help the good guys prevail in one of the most important matches in ICW’s decade-long history. When Balor will return to the screens of WWE Raw is anyone’s guess.
