WWE Roadblock 2016: Full Match Card

Updated Mar. 5, 2020 1:37 a.m. ET

WWE Roadblock 2016 is upon us, so here’s what you can expect to see on the card.

Sunday night will see WWE Roadblock: End of the Line coming live from the PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh, PA. The Raw brand-exclusive pay-per-view will see some of the hottest talents in WWE step into the ring, with four of the Raw championships being defended on the card.

Right at the top, we will see WWE Universal Champion Kevin Owens take on WWE United States Champion Roman Reigns, with Owens’ title on the line. Despite the fact that Reigns holds the U.S. title he has set his sights on winning the top title on Raw. Whilst Reigns has called himself a fighting champion, he hasn’t really done a lot with the U.S title since winning it from Rusev. Owens heads into the match with his most treasured possession on the line, but with his best friend Chris Jericho having his back this should be an easy defense for the champion.

Speaking of Jericho, he will face Seth Rollins in a match that has been buiding for weeks now. They have both attacked each other, Jericho has cost Rollins titles matches and helped Owens beat Rollins on several occasions. This should be a hotly contested encounter.

In the Women’s Division, Sasha Banks will face Charlotte Flair in a 30 minute Iron (Wo)Man match. These two women have traded the Raw Women’s Championship since it’s inception back at WrestleMania. This match is being sold as the final encounter between the pair, which should see a definitive ending to the feud, and build towards new feuds for both women.

Raw Tag Team Champions, The New Day, will go into battle with the odd couple pairing of Cesaro and Sheamus. The New Day won two matches on this past Monday’s episode of Raw, enabling them to become the longest reigning tag team champions in WWE history. This is a match that has the potential to steal the show, with the challengers looking deserved champions in recent matches between the two teams.

WWE Cruiserweight Champion Rich Swann will defend his title against two men, both of whom are former Cruiserweight Champions themselves. His opponents will be Brian Kendrick and TJ Perkins in a triple threat match, with the biggest prize for the Cruiserweights on the line.

The final main show match of the night could turn out to be one of the most talked about. Sami Zayn squares off with the monster Braun Strowman in a ten-minute time limit match. Zayn has been destroyed by Strowman on several occasions in the last couple of months, but has battled back to show no fear of the former Wyatt Family man. Zayn had to show his fire to Raw GM Mick Foley to get this match, with the former NXT Champion looking like he will do whatever he has to defeat his giant opponent.

In the only pre-show match announced prior to the show, Rusev will face Big Cass. Rusev has been at loggerheads with Cass’ tag team partner Enzo Amore of late, with the Bulgarian Brute battering Enzo, after the Certified G thought he was meeting in a hotel room for shenanigans with his wife Lana. Defending his wife somehow makes Rusev a heel, whilst wanting to break up a marriage apparently makes Enzo a face in WWE.
