Aaron Rodgers' wonderfully weird Instagram debut
Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers is branching out.
Rodgers – who is already a prolific Twitter user (in the offseason, at least) -- joined Instagram this week, but those looking to glean any sort of extra insight into the mind of a star quarterback via his feed are going to be left a little … confused.
There's a lot to unpack here.
His profile picture? A drawing of Rodgers as a Jedi. His first post? A video of himself shooting midrange jumpers (#midrange!) -- apparently alone -- while wearing a Zaza Pachulia jersey and what appears to be a skullcap of some kind.

It's set -- naturally -- to Phil Collins' hit "In the Air Tonight."
He follows one person: Pachulia, and, much as he does on Twitter, is big into hashtags.
Rodgers tagged Steph Curry and LeBron James in the post, so maybe there's some coded message to the world's cabal of mega-rich athletes in here.
Maybe the NBA Finals have inspired a Michael Jordan-like career change.
Maybe he’s starting a Genesis cover band.
Maybe we're reading way, way too far into this.
You do you, Aaron.
