"Alex has been grinding," Kotsay said. "He hasn't felt great. He's been able to make every start. But you saw a little drop in velo and his slider wasn't as sharp. He gave us everything he had for two innings."
Wood (1-3) took the loss Sunday against the Mariners, allowing five runs (one earned) on four hits and a walk while striking out a batter over two innings.
Jimenez, who was optioned to Triple-A Las Vegas on Tuesday, fired two perfect innings with four strikeouts over his first two relief appearances with the Aviators on Friday and Sunday. He also recorded a save in the latter outing.
Gelof (oblique) played a full game at second base in Triple-A Las Vegas' win over Round Rock on Sunday, going 0-for-3 with an RBI sacrifice fly and a walk.
Alexander (ribs) allowed five runs (four earned) on three hits, a walk and a hit batsman without recording an out during a relief appearance for Triple-A Las Vegas against Round Rock on Friday.
Blackburn (3-2) took the loss Friday versus the Mariners, allowing seven runs on seven hits and three walks while striking out five over four-plus innings.
