Sees first-team reps in spring Cobbs was working with the first-team offense during the opening spring practice session Monday, JJ Perez of 247Sports.com reports. Impact UTSA is replacing workhorse Sincere McCormick and veteran backup Brenden Brady, so 67 percent of the carries are up for grabs. Cobbs has played sparingly through his first two seasons with 14 carries for 74 yards and a touchdown. He appears to have an early edge on playing time but again, there is the vast majority of the offseason still to go for him to solidify that role. Per Perez, junior college transfer Tye Edwards was also in the mix with the first team during Monday's practice. Regardless, Cobbs needs to be on the radar in deeper formats as spring practices get into full swing.
