Marc Church - Ready for live work Church (lat) is slated to throw live bullpen sessions Tuesday and Friday, Shawn McFarland of The Dallas Morning News reports.
Impact Church is working his way back from a teres major strain and could be cleared for game action by early next week if he responds well to his upcoming live sessions. The 24-year-old righty has made just six career appearances in the majors, but he boasts one of the more electric arms in the organization and could be a factor in the late innings for the Rangers later on in 2026 if he can stay healthy and keep the free passes in check.

Kyle Higashioka - Ready to play Sunday Higashioka (back) will start at catcher and bat third in Sunday's Cactus League game against the Mariners.

Brandon Nimmo - Should start playing soon Nimmo is on a specific ramp-up plan and will begin playing in Cactus League games in March, Matt Postins of SI.com reports.
Impact The slow ramp-up is designed to have Nimmo, who turns 33 later this month, fresh for Opening Day, according to Texas manager Skip Schumaker. Nimmo is expected to bat leadoff for the Rangers, taking the spot in the order that had belonged to Marcus Semien for much of his tenure with the Rangers.

Jack Leiter - Inefficient start Leiter allowed two runs on three hits and two walks while striking out one over 1.1 innings in Saturday's spring start against the Dodgers.
Impact Leiter needed 45 pitches to get those four outs spread across three different innings. The three up-and-downs were a positive this early in camp, but the right-hander allowed three extra-base hits, including a Dalton Rushing home run in the first inning, and managed to throw just 24 strikes. Leiter also featured more of the cutter he's been working on during the offseason, delivering seven of them.

Jose Corniell - Dealing with soreness Manager Skip Schumaker said Saturday that Corniell has been dealing with back and tricep soreness this spring, Shawn McFarland of The Dallas Morning News reports.
Impact Corniell's injury has prevented him from getting into a Cactus League game thus far, though Schumaker noted that the young reliever looked good during a side session Thursday. The Rangers will continue to bring him back slowly, though his availability for Opening Day doesn't seem to be a concern at this point.

Justin Foscue - Dealing with strained hamstring Foscue was diagnosed with a strained right hamstring Saturday, Kennedi Landry of MLB.com reports.
Impact Foscue made an early exit from Monday's Cactus League game with a hamstring injury, and imaging confirmed Saturday that he suffered a strain. He'll be shut down from baseball activities for 10 days before the Rangers reevaluate him.

Josh Jung - Diagnosed with Grade 1 strain Jung was diagnosed with a Grade 1 adductor strain Saturday, Kennedi Landry of MLB.com reports.
Impact Jung had been expected to resume playing in Cactus League games this weekend, but he will now be shut down for roughly 10 days following the results of his tests. Assuming the Rangers don't receive any more unexpected news, the 28-year-old should have enough time to make a full recovery before Opening Day.

MacKenzie Gore - Better in second start Gore allowed three hits and struck out one over three scoreless innings in Friday's spring start against the White Sox.
Impact After allowing two runs and three hits over 1.2 innings in his Cactus League debut, Gore was better his second time out, throwing 38 pitches (27 strikes). The lefty also took a comebacker off his leg but gathered the ball and got the out. Texas trainers paid him a visit, but Gore stayed in the game, per Matt Postins of SI.com. Gore is expected to serve as the third or fourth starter in the Rangers' rotation.

Kyle Higashioka - Day-to-day with back issue Rangers manager Skip Schumaker said Higashioka will be out of the lineup until Sunday due to a back injury, Shawn McFarland of The Dallas Morning News reports.
Impact Higashioka turns 36 years old in April and is projected to split catching duties with Danny Jansen this season. Higashioka slashed .241/.291/.403 with 11 home runs, a career-best 47 RBI, 33 runs scored and a 20:72 BB:K across 327 plate appearances last season for Texas.

Josh Jung - Expected back in lineup Sunday Jung (hamstring) is expected to return to Cactus League action Sunday against the Mariners, Shawn McFarland of The Dallas Morning News reports.
Impact Jung was initially expected to return to the lineup Friday against the White Sox, but the Rangers are giving him a couple extra days of rest. Luke Hanson is making the start at third base for Texas against Chicago and batting ninth.
2 DAYS AGO • ROTOWIRE
Corey Seager - Scratched due to illness Seager was scratched from Friday's lineup against the White Sox due to an illness, Kennedi Landry of MLB.com reports.
Impact Manager Skip Schumaker said Seager will be sidelined for at least a couple days. Cameron Cauley is starting at shortstop versus Chicago on Friday.

Kumar Rocker - So-so outing Thursday Rocker allowed two runs on five hits while striking out one over 2.2 innings in Thursday's spring start against the Brewers. He also hit a batter.
Impact There was much to like about Rocker's second Cactus League outing: he threw seven first-pitch strikes to the 13 batters faced and worked out of trouble in the first two innings. A focus on first-pitch strikes and more use of the changeup are two areas that manager Skip Schumaker is looking for from Rocker. The manager saw the strike-throwing, but the right-hander did not use his changeup. "He's still continuing to try and develop," the manager told Shawn McFarland of the Dallas Morning News. "He needs that pitch to be successful. That's why I don't really care so much about the results. We all want to see that changeup." Rocker needs to pitch well during spring training to earn a spot in the rotation, but he also needs more to his mix than just slider/fastball.

Scarborough emerged as one of the Rangers' best pitching prospects in 2025, posting a 2.45 ERA and 114:21 K:BB over 88 innings between Single-A Hickory and High-A Hub City.
