Actress and multi-platinum recording artist Jordin Sparks will perform the national anthem at the 59th annual Daytona 500 (Feb. 26, 2 p.m. ET, FOX), Daytona International Speedway announced Monday.

Sparks was the winner of FOX’s American Idol in its sixth season. The Disabled American Veterans ambassador will also star in God Bless The Broken Road, a faith-based set to premiere early 2017.

“We’re thrilled to have Jordin Sparks be a part of the pre-race ceremonies and sing the national anthem prior to the Daytona 500,” DIS President Chip Wile said. “Jordin is an incredible talent and we look forward to her rendition of the national anthem before the start of the 59th ‘Great American Race.’”

The 2017 NASCAR Premier Series season will kick off with The Clash at Daytona exhibition race on Feb. 18 (FS1).
