Joey Anderson - Chips in with helper Anderson provided an assist and blocked two shots in Thursday's 4-2 win over the Sharks.

Impact Anderson helped out on Jason Dickinson's third-period tally. The assist was Anderson's first point in five contests this season. He's added five hits, six blocked shots, four shots on net and a minus-1 rating while playing on the third line. The 26-year-old looks to be a fixture in the lineup, but playing in a bottom-six role for the Blackhawks is unlikely to lead to significant offense.

Teuvo Teravainen - Registers two power-play assists Teravainen notched two power-play assists in Thursday's 4-2 win over the Sharks.

Impact Teravainen logged multiple points for the second time this season, and both of those efforts have included power-play production. The veteran winger is up to three goals, four assists, 11 shots on net and a plus-1 rating over five contests. The Blackhawks are still struggling to be consistent on offense, but Teravainen should be among their best forwards as long as he plays on Connor Bedard's wing.

Connor Bedard - Two helpers on power play Bedard registered a pair of power-play assists and three shots on goal in Thursday's 4-2 win over the Sharks.

Impact Bedard helped out on goals by Tyler Bertuzzi and Nick Foligno. It's been all or nothing for Bedard in the early going -- he has three multi-point efforts and has been held off the scoresheet in the other two games. The center has a goal, six assists (four on the power play), 17 shots on net and a plus-3 rating so far.

Jason Dickinson - Puts away goal Thursday Dickinson scored a goal in Thursday's 4-2 win over the Sharks.

Impact Dickinson provided an insurance tally in the third period. It was his first point in five games, and the center has added five shots on net, 10 hits, three blocked shots and a minus-2 rating while filling a third-line role. Last year, Dickinson was surprisingly successful with 22 goals and 35 points over 82 appearances, though that came with a 17.5 shooting percentage he's unlikely to ever repeat in a full season. He's best utilized in a shutdown role, one that leads to minimal fantasy value.

Taylor Hall - Opens scoring Thursday Hall scored a goal on three shots and blocked three shots in Thursday's 4-2 win over the Sharks.

Impact Hall opened the scoring at 4:20 of the first period. The winger has been limited to two points through five games, but he's added 12 shots on net while also seeing time on the second power-play unit. Hall may still be shaking off some rust -- he was limited to 10 games last season between a shoulder injury and a torn ACL. The 32-year-old is likely to fill more of a secondary scoring role rather than being a leader on offense at this stage of his career.

Nick Foligno - Lights lamp on power play Foligno scored a power-play goal on four shots and added two PIM in Thursday's 4-2 win over the Sharks.

Impact Foligno has scored in back-to-back games and now has three tallies through five contests overall. The winger finished off a passing play with his usual linemates Teuvo Teravainen and Connor Bedard. Foligno has added 13 shots on net, 19 hits and four PIM this season, but if he can stay on the top line and first power-play unit, he'll have some general appeal in fantasy. If he loses those gigs, his interest would be limited to deeper formats that reward his toughness.

Tyler Bertuzzi - Buries power-play goal Bertuzzi scored a power-play goal in Thursday's 4-2 win over the Sharks.

Impact Bertuzzi gave the Blackhawks a 2-0 lead late in the first period with his first goal and point for the team. The winger signed a four-year contract in July, but he'd gotten off to a slow start while playing on the second line and first power-play unit. Bertuzzi has added eight shots on net, four hits and a minus-2 rating through five appearances. The Blackhawks have an abundance of left-shot wingers, which has forced Bertuzzi onto his off side -- that could at least partly explain his slow start to the campaign.

Petr Mrazek - Earns second win Mrazek stopped 20 of 22 shots in Thursday's 4-2 win over the Sharks.

Impact After allowed four goals to Utah in the season opener, Mrazek has allowed exactly two goals in three straight games. The 32-year-old has won two of those contests and is doing his part to keep the Blackhawks competitive from game to game. He's allowed 10 goals on 112 shots across four starts with a 2-2-0 record. The Blackhawks are set to host the Sabres on Saturday.

Isaak Phillips - Summoned from AHL Phillips was called up by the Blackhawks on Thursday.

Impact Phillips has no points and five PIM in one game with AHL Rockford in 2024-25. He split the 2023-24 regular season between Chicago and Rockford, recording six assists and 22 PIM in 33 outings with the Blackhawks as well as four goals, 14 points and 20 PIM in 29 appearances with Rockford. Alec Martinez (groin) was placed on injured reserve in a corresponding move. Phillips might draw into the lineup Thursday versus San Jose, but it wouldn't be surprising if he ends up being a healthy scratch.

Impact Martinez had already been ruled out for Thursday's home opener against the Sharks due to what was initially described as a lower-body injury, and he'll be sidelined for at least a week after being evaluated by the team's training staff. Nolan Allan will take Martinez's place in the third pairing alongside Connor Murphy on Thursday, while Isaak Phillips was recalled from AHL Rockford in a corresponding move.

Petr Mrazek - Expected to start Thursday Mrazek is set to start in Thursday's home game against San Jose, per Vinnie Parise of The Hockey News.

Impact Mrazek has a 1-2-0 record, 2.71 GAA and .911 save percentage in three contests in 2024-25. That's not a bad start given that Mrazek is playing for the rebuilding Blackhawks. San Jose is another rebuilding squad and will enter this contest with a record of 0-1-2 while being tied for 30th offensively with 2.00 goals per game.

Alec Martinez - Out of action Thursday Martinez (lower body) will miss Thursday's home game versus San Jose, Charlie Roumeliotis of WGN reports.

Impact Martinez will be evaluated by the Chicago training staff and more should be known Friday. Martinez signed a one-year contract with the Blackhawks in the offseason after playing parts of the last five seasons with the Golden Knights. Martinez has an assist, four shots on goal and 15 blocked shots in four games this season. Nolan Allan is slated to take Martinez's place in the lineup. alongside Connor Murphy on the third pairing.
