Out indefinitely with knee injury
Ndiaye is out indefinitely due to a knee injury, Adam Zagoria of ZagsBlog.com reports.
Impact
Ndiaye has started 21 games over the past three years for Seton Hall, but he's never been a prolific producer. He was expected to operate as a reserve again during the 2022-23 campaign, but it appears his season debut will be delayed due to a knee injury.

Moved to bench
Ndiaye will appear off the bench Thursday versus Bradley, Jim Benson of The Bloomington Pantagraph reports.
Impact
Ndiaye had started each of the last four games and has supplied six blocks over the last three but it appears the sophomore will cede Thursday's start to Dusan Mahorcic. He should still see double-digit minutes off the bench, however.

Pair of swats in return
Ndiaye compiled three points (1-3 FG, 1-2 3PT), two blocks, a rebound, an assist and a steal over 17 minutes in his return Saturday versus Evansville.
Impact
Ndiaye skipped the last two games after cutting the finger on his left hand but appears to have healed up enough to give it a go moving forward. He should be a consistent presence off the bench for the Redbirds moving forward.

Returned to practice this week
Ndiaye (finger) resumed practice earlier this week, according to Jim Benson of The Bloomington Pantagraph.
Impact
Illinois State head coach Dan Muller said Ndiaye has resumed practice after cutting a finger on his left hand, an injury that forced him to missed two games at Loyola. It remains to be seen whether this will be enough to allow him to play Saturday at Evansville, though.

Not dressed Sunday
Ndiaye is not in uniform and is off to the side while the team's warming up ahead of Sunday's game against Loyola-Chicago, Jim Benson of The Bloomington Pantagraph reports.
Impact
It's unclear what's forcing Ndiaye out of action Sunday as an update is not expected to be provided until after the game. The sophomore started the first four games for the Redbirds this season but has come off the bench in the last two. He's averaging 6.8 points and three rebounds in 15 minutes per game. Sy Chatman figures to be the main beneficiary in his absence.
