Impact Baldwin averaged 14.2 points and 6.2 assists across his six games from Nov. 7 to Dec. 14. He is expected to continue being part of VCU's starting backcourt. Now that Baldwin can play, Zeb Jackson would be a backup again.

Impact Baldwin did not play in the previous game against Howard due to a wrist injury. He will hop right back into the starting lineup for Wednesday's contest, however. Baldwin has only played in five games this season but he is putting up 15.0 points, 6.2 assists, 3.8 steals, and 1.8 three-pointers in those contests.

Impact Baldwin was to be a game-time decision for Wednesday night, and all signs are pointing to his return against Radford. VCU's starting point guard is a dynamic scorer and facilitator, and he'll likely return to the starting lineup as well.

Impact Baldwin now has an obscene 17 steals across the Rams last three contests, and is averaging 3.4 on the year, which would tie him with crosstown rival Jacob Gilyard for the nation's lead. Baldwin is still finding his way as a scorer, but the 10.8 ppg he's averaging are serviceable given the huge advantage he provides defensively, and the 5.1 assists nightly don't hurt either.

Seven assists against Dayton Baldwin chipped in 12 points (5-11 FG, 2-5 3Pt), three rebounds, seven assists and one steal across 37 minutes during Wednesday's 53-52 victory over Dayton.

Impact Baldwin is starting to find his groove. He missed the first eight games of the year while continuing his recovery from an offseason Achilles tear. In four games since being back, he's averaging 10.5 points, 1.8 rebounds, 5.3 assists and 2.8 steals. The latter two numbers are what lead to fantasy appeal, and they figure to remain consistent even if VCU struggles to score in bunches.

Impact Baldwin had yet to suit up due to an Achilles issue previously. He was an assist/steal fantasy option only last season, but with 13 points in 20 minutes here, it looks like Baldwin is comfortable with an expanded offensive role. He's well worth a speculative Tier 2 add.

Impact Given the length of his absence, Baldwin figures to be on a minutes restriction as he continues to get up to speed. That being said, the sophomore managed to beat his targeted return date by nearly a month and will see his first action of the season in a game the Rams should be able to win. Baldwin takes the spot of Hasan Ward in the starting five with Ward not in uniform Wednesday.

Impact Baldwin has been targeting a return date of January 1 all along, and while this weekend's positive development has been the first real update since August, it also makes that timeline seem like a possibility. Considering Baldwin started all 26 games he appeared in last season for VCU, and that he led the team in assists at 4.4 apg, he should look to make an immediate impact once he's in game shape. Jayden Nunn and Marcus Tsohonis have been handling point guard duties in the meantime, though arguably neither has stood out enough to hand on to that role once a fully-healthy Baldwin is available.
