Impact Ulis spent his first three collegiate seasons at Iowa before transferring to Nebraska prior to the 2023-24 campaign, but the 6-3 guard was forced to sit out the entire year due to his alleged involvement in an Iowa sports gambling investigation. That now appears to be in the past, as coach Fred Hoiberg confirmed that Ulis would be ready for the first game of the upcoming year. His availability likely cuts into the minutes of walk-on Sam Hoiberg, and even if he doesn't start out of the gates, he'll likely be one of the first off the bench for transfer guards Rollie Worster and Connor Essegian. In his last full season of play in 2022-23 for the Hawkeyes, Ulis started 27 times in 32 appearances, recording averages of 6.1 points, 2.1 assists and 1.6 rebounds.
