Leading scorer, but tough task ahead Green registered 17 points (4-8 FG, 3-6 3Pt, 6-6 FT), six rebounds and seven assists over 38 minutes during Friday's 78-65 win over Illinois State. Impact Green and the Panthers have won nine of their last 10 games overall, but the individual effort from the junior guard has been extra impressive of late. Over his last seven games, Green is posting 22.1 ppg on 50.5 shooting, while also making an incredible 95.5 percent of his free-throw attempts. Despite spending his first four seasons at New Orleans, Green has fit in more than admirably with UNI, leading the squad with 19.0 ppg. He and the Panthers face their toughest task ahead, however, as they draw Loyola-Chicago on Saturday in the MVC Conference semifinals. The Panthers fell by 27 points on the road earlier this season to the Ramblers, but avenged that defeat with an overtime victory in the regular season finale. Now, the two will settle the score with a NCAA Tournament bid on the line.
