Impact Alabama's backcourt has found itself in injury trouble early on, as Chris Youngblood is out until December with an ankle injury and Latrell Wrightsell (undisclosed) is also expected to be limited. Freshman Labaron Philon drew the start in the exhibition, but it was Holloway who led the team in scoring as a reserve. Last year was an up-and-down freshman season at Auburn for Holloway, who finished with averages of 7.3 points and 2.7 assists across 35 games (26 starts).

Impact With Chris Youngblood (ankle) out until December and Latrell Wrightsell limited by an undisclosed injury (but expected to play in a limited capacity), it appears Philon has a chance to enter the enter the starting five and produce early. The four-star freshman knows how to score, as he averaged 35 ppg at Baker/Link Academy and 11.7 ppg in the EYBL Scholastic League. Given the other backcourt injuries, Philon could serve as a secondary scoring option to projected to scorer Mark Sears.
