Evaluated for head injury Karaban was taken to the Maui Memorial Medical Center to be evaluated for a head injury after Wednesday's loss to Dayton, Joe Arruda of the Hartford Courant reports. Impact Karaban's head hit the floor after he was fouled with about two and a half minutes left in the game. He stayed in for the remainder of the game but was eventually placed in the concussion protocol and sent to the hospital for more tests. Karaban received clearance to fly home with the team Thursday and more on his status is expected to come before the team's game versus Maryland-Eastern Shore on Saturday. Despite the loss, Karaban finished with a game-high 21 points (7-15 FG, 4-8 3Pt, 3-4 FT), three rebounds and an assist in 37 minutes.
