Wins ACC POY Award Williams was named as ACC Player of the Year on Monday. Impact Williams has taken a gigantic leap in his first season with the Demon Deacons, nearly tripling his averages in points, rebounds and assists while playing just over 15 more minutes per game in the 2021-22 season compared to last season with Oklahoma. The grad transfer has been one of the best all-around offensive players in the conference this season, averaging a league-best 5.3 assists per game and currently sits second in the conference in scoring with 19.3 points per game to go along with 6.7 rebounds. Williams has scored below 10 points just once over 31 starts and will have an opportunity to improve his team's NCAA Tournament resume as he attempts to lead fifth-seeded Wake Forest through the ACC Conference Tournament starting this Wednesday against the winner of Boston College and Pittsburgh.
