Impact Verge oddly didn't start in this game, as Fred Hoiberg used Trey and Bryce McGowens in the backcourt alongside C.J. Wilcher. Nonetheless, it was Verge who made the biggest impact on the box score and the game, and it's difficult to imagine him staying a sixth-man when the regular season begins. Verge reached 14.0 ppg or greater in each of his first two seasons at Arizona State, and that was despite having tremendous recruiting talent around him, as well as sharing a backcourt with Remy Martin. Nebraska has re-tooled via the transfer market as well, but Verge still has a path to setting career bests in minutes in scoring while in the Big 10.
