Makhi Mitchell - Season-high 19 points SundayMitchell finished Sunday's 70-55 win over American International with 19 points (7-8 FG, 5-9 FT), eight rebounds, one assist, two blocks and one steal in 28 minutes.
ImpactMitchell has been maddeningly inconsistent, but his production has been largely tied to his ability to stay on the floor. He's posted three double-double to date, and four times has blocked 2+ shots. But he's also had 4+ fouls eight times to date. Rhode Island oddly hasn't started conference play yet, so it remains to be seen if Mitchell can be a consistent cog over the season's more important 2+ months.
