Leaving Bucknell Funk entered the transfer portal Monday and is expected to move on from Bucknell as a graduate transfer, Travis Branham of 247Sports.com reports.
Impact Funk was the top player on a 9-23 Bison squad in 2021-22, averaging 17.6 points, 3.6 assists, 3.0 rebounds and 2.7 three-pointers in 36.6 minutes per contest. After the NCAA granted a free year of eligibility to all players for the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on the 2020-21 season, Funk looks as though he'll take advantage of the waiver and play out his fifth and final season elsewhere in 2022-23. He should command interest from Power Five and mid-major schools, though Funk would almost certainly be in store for a lesser role than he enjoyed with Bucknell this past season.
