Undergoes shoulder surgery Muhammad had surgery on his shoulder and is looking at a 2-3 month recovery period according to coach Bobby Hurley, DevilsDigest.com reports.

Impact Muhammad transferred to the Sun Devils from Ohio State where he averaged 7.0 points, 2.3 rebounds, and 1.3 assists a year ago. He was able to secure a waiver to play this season, but this shoulder injury has likely put him out until the calendar turns sometime in January at the earliest.

Named preseason AP All-American Martin was selected to the 2020-21 Associated Press Preseason All-American team that was announced Wednesday.

Impact Martin had a case for the NBA and even declared for the draft, but the second-leading scorer in the Pac-12 (19.1 ppg) will ultimately return to lead the Sun Devils for his senior season. This is a team that will challenge opponents with its speed due to tremendous guard depth, but Martin will captain the ship after averaging 4.1 apg a season ago. Coach Bobby Hurley's squad will be tested early this season, as ASU opens up against No. 2-ranked Baylor on Nov. 25.

Returning to Arizona State Martin withdrew from the 2020 NBA Draft on Sunday and will return to Arizona State for his senior season, Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports reports.

Impact Martin will return as the Sun Devils' star player for the 2020-21 season, once again positioning the team to compete as a strong contender in the Pac-12. As a junior with the team last season, Martin averaged 19.1 points, 4.1 assists, 3.1 rebounds, 2.0 three-pointers and 1.5 steals in 33.8 minutes per game
